The Great Allegheny Passage

The Great Allegheny Passage (rails to trails) linking downtown Pittsburgh to Washington, DC (Georgetown) is a series of trails 316 miles for biking, hiking, and walking.

For those who enjoy these activities, there is nothing quite like the sense of nature - wildflowers, birds, trees etc.

The natural setting of waterfalls, rivers, cliffs, farms enable us to gain a greater appreciation of God's creation.

If you bike, the trails are level, safe and beautiful, a great way to develop your physical fitness, and view our historic sites.

Overnight accommodations (bed and breakfast) are available at all points along the Passage.

Some of the trailheads or starting points are Eliza Furnace - Greenfield and Second Ave; Boston Rt 48 south near McKeesport; Ohioypyle and Myersdale.
